About the Role Ministry Protective is seeking reliable and professional Waking Watch Officers to support fire safety operations at residential and commercial premises. The role involves carrying out regular patrols, monitoring fire risks, assisting with emergency procedures and providing a visible safety presence on site. The successful candidate will be alert, responsible and able to remain calm under pressure. Key Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols throughout the building and communal areas. Monitor for signs of fire, smoke, hazards or unsafe behaviour. Report and record any fire safety concerns or incidents. Assist with evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency. Maintain accurate patrol logs and site records. Liaise with residents, building management, emergency services and supervisors when required. Ensure fire exits, escape routes and communal areas remain clear. Follow all site-specific procedures and company policies. Provide a professional and reassuring presence on site. Requirements Previous security, fire marshal or waking watch experience is preferred. SIA licence preferred but not essential unless required for the site. Fire marshal training is desirable. Good communication skills. Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout shifts. Reliable, punctual and professional. Able to complete written reports and incident logs.
