Personal Trainer - Kentish Town / Camden, North London Employer: The Basement Gym + Studio Location: Kentish Town & Camden, North London Salary: From £27,600 per annum / Discretionary Monthly Performance Bonuses (self-employed, contractor basis) Full-Time Positions Available Only The Basement Gym + Studio is looking for a new Personal Trainer to join their dynamic and diverse team in the Kentish Town / Camden area, North London. What Makes This Role Different? Unlike most personal training roles, this position does not involve finding your own clients or selling personal training services. You will work closely with our Head of Personal Training to deliver high-standard training sessions to the gym’s existing client base. The Basement Gym operates on a team-based PT model - you’ll be hired to train clients, not to sell personal training services to them. Freelance / self-employed personal training is not permitted outside of working hours. Successful applicants will be focused solely on delivering consistency and quality training to the gym’s client base. Key Responsibilities Personal Training Delivery: Report to the Head of Personal Training to deliver structured PT services. Create and execute tailored training sessions based on pre-session briefs. Submit post-session feedback and exercise breakdown reports. Maintain up-to-date client notes in their shared training profiles. Club Support Duties: Provide a gym floor presence between sessions. Assist the Front of House team with the delivery of their basic responsibilities. Assist members with training queries and provide on-the-floor support. Conduct fitness inductions for new members. Support the Front of House team with gym tours and client onboarding. Help operate the nutrition bar (coffees, protein smoothies). Assist at the reception desk, complete checklists, and help clean and maintain equipment. Qualifications & Experience Minimum NVQ L2 in Fitness (or equivalent) NVQ L3 in Personal Training (or actively working toward it) Previous fitness industry experience is beneficial but not essential. This role is ideal for high aptitude individuals seeking experience, structure, and mentorship from a senior coach in a premium environment in exchange for a fixed salary. Personal Qualities Approachable, confident, and personable with a team-first attitude. Strong communicator and quick learner. Comfortable multitasking across training and wider gym responsibilities. Flexible and proactive when handling day-to-day tasks. Passionate about fitness and contributing to a high-performing gym culture. Club Operating Hours Mon – Fri: 6:00am to 10:30pm Sat – Sun: 8:00am to 8:00pm Weekend availability is essential.
