SEU is a Surgical Emergency Portal taking referrals and direct admissions from multiple areas – including ED, SDEC, GP, Self-referrals - under multiple specialties, primarily General Surgery, Urology, and Gynaecology. As a Health Care Assistant on this Unit you will be involved with and responsible for the direct care of patients. Main duties of the job To assist with the direct care of patients as delegated to and supervised by registered nurse / health care professional. To provide support to the nursing team working collaboratively with members of the multi-disciplinary team and contributing positively to the delivery of high quality compassionate care. To uphold the fundamental standards of safety and quality always putting the patients first and protecting them from harm.
