Job overview Bilingual Assistant Psychologist We are seeking to recruit a Bilingual Assistant Psychologist.The postholder must be proficient in either Somali, Bengali/Sylheti, Hindu or Urdu which are the commonly spoken local languages in the Borough. Contribute to the development of partnership working with local community groups to promote social connections, community engagement and participation under the supervision of senior psychologist. This includes behavioural activation for muslim communities (BA-M) and CBT-music for south asian women. Work alongside Psychologists, Peer support workers and partner organisations in developing interventions to support local population needs.Support with the development and delivery of culturally sensitive, co-produced services with people with lived experience and local voluntary organisations. Undertake clinically supervised and culturally sensitive psychological assessments and treatment with clients jointly alongside colleagues within the context of the service. Where appropriate services to be delivered in local language. Collate information across the service relating to referrals, allocations, interventions offered and maintain databases relating to client care. Undertake clinical audit and research activities as required, under the supervision and guidance of senior staff. Participate in CPD and other developmental activities, keeping up to date with relevant psychological research and national guidance (DoH, NICE etc). Main duties of the job Support the implementation of bilingual individual, group and community based psychological interventions under clinical supervision within the scope of competence.Work alongside peer support workers, other staff teams and community partners and those with lived experience to co-produce interventions. Understand and support work to minimise factors affecting access to services. Be responsible, under clinical supervision, for recording, monitoring and reporting on own clinical work and communicating complex clinical information to a variety of recipients,
