Job Description

A new role for a Quality Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing operation and a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to progress in a technical/quality role, take ownership of a QA team, and collaborate closely with the site technical and wider operational teams. You will be a key member of the Technical Department, supporting the QA team to ensure compliance with food safety, legislation, HACCP, and hygiene standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily quality audits, CCPs, and QCPs, ensuring production records are accurate and compliant. Liaise with production teams to ensure checks are completed on time and accurately. Deliver food safety training (CCP, allergen awareness) and maintain training matrix's Support laboratory sample booking, review results, and manage out-of-specification investigations. Conduct verification checks including metal detection, checkweighers, and calibration programs. Maintain internal audits, shelf-life monitoring, and HACCP compliance. Assist site management with external audits and customer complaint investigations. Provide daily reporting and support continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team. Essential: Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment. Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP. Strong knowledge of GMP, food safety legislation, and third-party audits. Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills. Confident delivering training and coaching staff. Computer literate and comfortable using multiple software systems. Desirable: Knowledge of production processes and machinery. Experience managing customer expectations. Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related discipline. Personal Qualities: Hardworking, proactive, and hands-on. Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work under pressure. Team player with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
