The Opportunity We’re delighted to be partnering with a values-driven organisation to recruit a Management Accounts Assistant to join a busy and supportive finance team. Reporting into a Finance Business Partner, the Management Accounts Assistant will play a key role in supporting effective financial management across the organisation. The focus is on providing high-quality financial analysis, accurate reporting, and practical support to budget holders and senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Supporting financial business partnering across assigned service areas Assisting with short and medium-term financial planning and analysis Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and commentary Supporting budget monitoring, variance analysis and forecasting Helping to maintain strong financial controls and accounting arrangements Assisting with statutory accounts preparation and working papers Contributing to regulatory returns and value-for-money reporting Supporting the effective use and development of finance systems About you You’ll be detail-focused, organised, and confident working with financial data in a fast-paced environment. You’ll enjoy working as part of a team and communicating financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues. We’re ideally looking for someone with: GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English Working towards, or holding, AAT Level 3 (or equivalent) Experience of working to deadlines in a finance or accounting environment Experience supporting budgeting or financial analysis Strong Excel skills and general IT confidence Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Clear written and verbal communication skills Next Steps If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply online with your CV.
