Job Description
As the Specialist, Tank Field Execution you will be accountable for ensuring correct repair, installation and commissioning of relevant equipment, including tanks, related piping and equipment, cathodic protection systems, etc. You will be responsible for the housekeeping, safety and productivity of Technicians and contractors performing work. In addition, you will ensure timely processing of TAVs, progress payments and SI. You will guarantee work is performed to a high standard, verifying all repairs support a minimum of 20-year service life.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise contractors and Technicians in execution of the tank program.
- Ensure Permit to Work is adequate.
- Identify and remove barriers to safe and efficient work execution.
- Implement tank safety action plans.
- Document daily progress and provide schedule updates.
- Identify and help develop improvement opportunities, optimising costs and run lengths.
- Ensure contract craftsmen perform at the required level of productivity, quality, safety and environmental performance.
- Identify and resolve conflicts and constraints between work groups.
- Review and authorise tank Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Permits.
- Ensure tank entry supervisor and RSOP requirements are enforced.
- Ensure the Tank RBI process is kept up to date through regular reviews.
- Timely approval of TAVs and ensure charges are appropriate. Ensures labour figures are consistent with the budget.
- Engender teamwork across areas and work groups.
- Ensure corporate and industry based best practices and codes are implemented.
- Work with planning teams to improve work plans and drive continuous improvement. Provide planning feedback
Education Requirements
- Minimum defined technician qualifications
- Certified Tank Inspector per API 653 or EMMUA 159
- Certified as an API Tank Entry Supervisor
Key Skills

- SAP skills in the P.M. and M.M modules to a proficient level to plan, execute maintenance requests
