About Us - Brightsparks Tuition We are a growing tutoring company specialising in high-quality, personalised education for children aged predominantly 6-10. We support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through 1:1 home tuition, alongside delivering group sessions including 11+ preparation, science and maths classes. As we expand, we continue to broaden our subject offering and reach more learners. We are Gloucester based and cover Gloucester and surrounding areas. The Role We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Tutor to deliver both individual and small group tuition. This role combines personalised in-home teaching with structured group sessions at our premises, offering variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across different learning environments. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality 1:1 tuition in students’ homes, tailored to individual learning needs, particularly for SEND learners Plan and deliver engaging group sessions, including 11+ preparation and science/maths based classes Adapt teaching strategies to suit a range of abilities, learning styles, and needs Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents/carers and the company Create and maintain lesson plans and resources Build positive, professional relationships with students and families Maintain safeguarding standards and follow company policies at all times Requirements Teaching qualification with at least 2 years work experience Experience working with children with SEN Strong subject knowledge (primary, 11+, and/or science/maths preferred) Ability to differentiate teaching effectively Confident delivering both 1:1 and small group sessions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to home visits) Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) What We Offer Competitive salary of £30,000 A varied role combining independent and group teaching Opportunities for professional growth as the company expands Supportive and collaborative working environment The chance to make a real difference in students’ educational journey
