Job Description
Care is Central is growing, and we're looking for friendly, experienced Senior Care Assistants to join our team at Marigold House in Leighton Buzzard.
You'll be joining a supportive, established team who'll be glad to have you on board as we continue to build something special together.
Marigold House opened in February 2025 and is a purpose-built, high-quality residential care home for up to 63 residents across three floors. We've designed things so our teams always feel supported - there's a Senior Care Assistant on each floor 24/7, along with Team Leaders, a Deputy Manager and a Registered Manager in the home, so help and guidance are always close by.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll lead your floor during your shift - allocating tasks, keeping an eye on care delivery, liaising with professionals, handling medication, and helping everything run smoothly day to day. It's a hands-on role too, so you'll be providing direct care and support to residents, including personal and intimate care, continence care, moving and assisting, and administering medication.
You'll also be a Key Worker for a number of residents, making sure their care plans and risk assessments are kept up to date, person-centred, and focused on what matters most to them. You'll regularly review and audit their information to make sure we're maintaining high standards and truly meeting people's needs.
Day shifts start at 7:30am with a handover and time to plan before the wider team arrives at 8am, finishing at 8pm - and yes, you'll get proper breaks throughout the day.
For night shifts, it's the reverse: starting at 7:30pm and finishing at 8am.
If joining our team sounds like something of interest, then we'd love to hear from you!
Let's talk about what we need from you . . .
What is important to us first and foremost is that you share our values, have a passion for helping others, can work positively within a team (even when things aren't easy!) and bring joy and laughter to the role - both with those we support and those we work with.
