Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant

Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a motivated and caring Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school based in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in education or gain experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30 Key Responsibilities Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs in the classroom Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and accessible learning activities Provide one-to-one and small group support Help manage behaviour and promote a positive learning environment Support pupils with their social, emotional, and communication needs Assist with classroom preparation and general duties The Ideal Candidate Will Have A DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one A genuine interest in working with children and supporting their development A patient, caring, and adaptable approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A willingness to learn and develop new skills Any previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential) What We Offer Full training and ongoing support Opportunities for career progression within education A friendly and inclusive working environment The chance to make a real difference in pupils' lives APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SPENCER CLARKE GROUP All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policy Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained You must have legal right to work in the UK You must be willing to attend a registration interview All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay.
