Job Description
Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning Assist pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN where required Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Prepare classroom resources and maintain a tidy, safe learning environment Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and school activities Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and development Support safeguarding and promote the wellbeing of all pupils Person Specification Essential: Experience working with children or young people Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team Patient, caring, and supportive approach Basic literacy and numeracy skills Desirable: Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) Experience working in a school setting Knowledge of additional learning needs (ALN/SEN)
