Special Needs Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) Location: Levenshulme, Manchester Start Date: ASAP / September Start Available A well-regarded primary school in Levenshulme is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This opportunity is being advertised by a specialist education recruitment agency on behalf of the school. This is a rewarding role supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, and speech & language difficulties. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children access learning, build confidence, and thrive in a supportive classroom environment. The Role: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities Support pupils' emotional, social, and behavioural development Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based or similar setting) A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential What's on Offer: Full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent Competitive daily rate, paid weekly Ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant Opportunities for training and professional development This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and inclusive primary school community.
