This is a full time role and has become available due to an internal promotion of the existing postholder. The role will be based within the Inpatient Pharmacy Procurement Team and be primarily office based with some warehouse duties. You may be asked to work cross-site between RPH and CDH. You will be working within a dedicated team whose primary role is to obtain medication in a timely fashion for our patients. The core hours of duty of the team are between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday and you would work 7.5 hours each day between these times. Depending on bed capacity within the hospital, there are occasions where the volume of work requires flexibility from the team. If additional hours are worked, you will be reimbursed with additional pay or time off in lieu. Main duties of the job You will need to have the ability to prioritise your time, be calm under pressure to meet daily deadlines with suppliers and be confident using a PC to complete your tasks. You will have a ‘right first time’ approach to their work. The job involves high volumes of data entry, general office duties and warehouse duties. You should be a team player, show excellent attention to detail, have a can-do attitude and be confident using a computer. You will need to be well organised with excellent communication skills and demonstrate a desire to contribute towards developing our services. Previous experience in an office or warehouse setting would be advantageous, however full training and support will be provided.
