An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Laboratory Medicine – Phlebotomy Outpatients Department at The Royal Hallamshire Hospital, part of the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Pathology (SYBP) Partnership, for a band 3 SYBP Phlebotomist. We have a permanent part-time position available working up to 15 hours per week. Please note, that following a training period, this role will include Saturday morning shifts, 07:45 - 13:15, as part of the weekly contracted hours. As an integral part of the Phlebotomy team, you will have a key role in supporting the SYB patients by providing a blood sample collection service predominantly based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (RHH). The department provides a walk-in service for patients to have their bloods taken by our highly skilled Phlebotomists via venepuncture and also acts a specimen reception for samples to be transferred to the RHH laboratories. The department also provides an outreach community phlebotomy service to housebound patients and also utilises Point of Care Testing devices where appropriate.
