Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Full Time Private School, Blackburn We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our senior school team at a well-established private school in Blackburn. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to provide meaningful, one-to-one support to a student within the senior school (year group to be confirmed). Start Date: ASAP Salary: £16,254.82 per annum The Role: As an LSA, you will work closely with teaching staff to support a student's academic progress, wellbeing, and engagement in school life. This role involves providing tailored 1:1 assistance, helping to adapt learning materials, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student in the senior school Assist in the delivery and adaptation of lessons to meet individual needs Support the student's emotional, social, and academic development Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents where appropriate Help maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable) A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about education and making a real difference in a student's school experience.
