Summary We're looking for a Volunteer Experience Co-ordinator to join the team. Your role is to create positive, inclusive and flexible volunteering experiences for everyone. If you’re skilled at building relationships, and motivated to make volunteering rewarding and impactful, this could be the job for you. Based at Anglesey Abbey, you’ll work across the North Cambridgeshire Portfolio of properties, which also includes Wicken Fen, Houghton Mill, Willington Dovecote and Ramsey Abbey Gatehouse. You’ll help shape plans that connect communities with nature and heritage, creating experiences that are meaningful and inclusive. Reporting to the Community, Participation and Volunteering Manager, you’ll work with our Volunteer Managers to support over 600 volunteers working in a variety of roles across the portfolio. What you'll be doing You’ll mainly be working at Anglesey Abbey, Wicken Fen, and Houghton Mill, which will involve travel between the different properties, collaborating with teams to deliver the end-to-end volunteer journey, from recruitment and induction to recognition and feedback. You’ll champion the value of volunteering, support managers and colleagues, and help grow and diversify opportunities so more people can get involved. This role is dynamic and varied, requiring excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You'll be part of a Duty Management rota. You'll be responsible on the day for the smooth running of the property during opening hours, acting as the main contact point for staff, volunteers, and customers in case of emergency, enquiry or complaint.
