We are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to work in an SEN School supporting pupils of primary age, with a range of complex needs. This full-time, temporary role is perfect for a Teaching Assistant who thrives in a dynamic and nurturing environment and is eager to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with various SEND needs, including SEMH, ASD, communication difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning and behaviour management strategies.
• Support pupils in staying engaged with classroom activities and promote their social and emotional development.
• Help create a structured and supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of the students.
• Provide additional support during unstructured times, such as break and lunch periods, to encourage positive interactions.

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEND pupils, is highly desirable.
• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to working with young people.
• Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• A commitment to promoting inclusion and helping students develop confidence and independence.
