Labourer (workshop & Site) Metalwork / Driver

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver/Labourer to join our Metal Fabrication Team based in Kensworth, Luton and install team in Stevenage. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and wants to contribute to making a positive impact within the construction industry, we work in surrounding areas mainly, London, Herts and Beds

We work within the construction industry designing, manufacturing and installing steel works within the surrounding areas including Central London.  A lot of our works are balconies, staircases and balustrades but all metalwork construction is completed.  You will be part of a dynamic team who work together to problem solve and create innovative architectural design and see it come to life through manufacturing and installing it from beginning to end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving company vehicles to transport materials, tools, and equipment to various sites.
• Assisting with general labouring duties, including site preparation, demolition, and construction tasks.
• Supporting tradespeople on-site and ensuring work is completed to high standards.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Working on construction sites assisting Instal team
• Working in the workshop assisting Fabricating team

Requirements:

• Valid UK driving license, due to insurance purposes ideally three years driving experience and over 21. Comfortable driving larger vehicles permitted up to 3.5 tonne pick up trucks and box lorries
• CSCS Card
• Previous experience in a similar role (driver and/or labourer) preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Salary and Benefits:

• £13-18.00 per hour.  Temp-to-perm position, with potential for permanent employment after a successful probation period.
