Mechanical Inspector (Precision Engineering)

Collide Technical is working with a leading precision engineering company based in Ferndown, and is currently seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join their quality team.

The Role
You will be responsible for the inspection of precision-engineered components, ensuring all products meet strict quality and aerospace standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting machined components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspection
- Using a range of inspection equipment (verniers, micrometres, gauges, etc.)
- Completing inspection documentation and quality reports
- Supporting quality investigations and non-conformance processes
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
- Managing your own workload with a high level of autonomy
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Mechanical Inspector within precision engineering
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using manual inspection equipment
- CMM experience desirable (training provided if required)
- Background in aerospace or highly regulated industries beneficial
- Self-motivated with a quality-first mindset
