Collide Technical is working with a leading precision engineering company based in Ferndown, and is currently seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join their quality team.

The Role

You will be responsible for the inspection of precision-engineered components, ensuring all products meet strict quality and aerospace standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspecting machined components to engineering drawings and specifications
• Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspection
• Using a range of inspection equipment (verniers, micrometres, gauges, etc.)
• Completing inspection documentation and quality reports
• Supporting quality investigations and non-conformance processes
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• Managing your own workload with a high level of autonomy

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a Mechanical Inspector within precision engineering
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience using manual inspection equipment
• CMM experience desirable (training provided if required)
• Background in aerospace or highly regulated industries beneficial
• Self-motivated with a quality-first mindset
