Infrastructure Engineer

Contract: Senior Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer (Azure & Terraform) Location: Belfast (Hybrid / 2-3 days on-site) Duration: 6 Months (Initial) – High likelihood of extension The Project We are seeking a high-calibre Senior Infrastructure Contractor to lead the technical execution of a major on-premises to Azure migration. This is a "hit the ground running" role where you will take immediate ownership of hybrid workstreams, automating the deployment of Azure Landing Zones and migrating legacy Windows Server workloads. ️ Technical Requirements (Mandatory) Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience deploying production environments via Terraform or Bicep/ARM. Azure Migration: Hands-on experience with Azure Migrate or Azure Site Recovery (ASR) to move on-prem workloads. Networking: Strong configuration skills in Cisco routing/switching, VPNs, and Azure Firewalls. Identity: Expert knowledge of Active Directory to Entra ID synchronization and hybrid identity. Windows Stack: Administration of Windows Server (2016 - 2025) and Group Policy. Key Deliverables Deploy: Build out secure, governed Azure subscriptions using IaC. Execute: Successfully migrate 50+ (adjust as needed) servers from physical racks to Azure. Document: Produce HLD/LLD designs and as-built documentation for the internal IT team. Secure: Configure NSGs, firewalls, and routing to ensure a hardened hybrid perimeter. Candidate Profile Autonomous: You require minimal supervision and can manage stakeholders directly. Delivery Focused: You have a track record of meeting strict project timelines.
