Children’s Residential Support Worker Location: Tring, HP23 Location: Tring HP23 Pay Rate: £13.00 – £13.50 per hour Job Type: Temporary / Flexible Shifts About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team in Tring. You will be supporting children and young people in a residential care setting, helping them build stability, independence, and positive outcomes for the future. This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be part of a supportive team that provides a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people who may have experienced trauma, neglect, or instability in their early lives. Key Responsibilities Support children and young people with daily routines and life skills Build positive, trusting relationships Promote independence, education, and personal development Safeguard and promote the welfare of all young people in your care Follow care plans and contribute to reviews and assessments Support with behaviour management using positive and trauma-informed approaches Maintain accurate daily records and reports Work as part of a team to ensure a consistent and safe environment About You We are looking for someone who is: Caring, patient, and resilient Passionate about supporting children and young people Able to build strong, positive relationships Calm under pressure and able to manage challenging behaviour A good team player with strong communication skills Essential (or desirable if preferred): Experience in residential childcare, youth work, or support work Understanding of safeguarding and child protection NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People (or willingness to work towards it)
