Membership Advisor & Fitness Coach - Stanway, Colchester Must be Level 2 Fitness Qualified Salary - £12.71 - £13.71 An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Studio35 Gym in Colchester as we prepare to open our new club. Studio35 is not a typical gym. It is a multi-award-winning health and wellness concept, recognised at the UK Active National Summit as a best practice example of a facility designed specifically for gym novices. Our members follow a simple, safe and fully supported circuit, helping them improve strength, posture and overall wellbeing within effective 35-minute sessions. We are looking for a passionate, energetic and fitness qualified Membership Advisor and Coach to support both membership growth and deliver exceptional member coaching and engagement within the Studio35 training environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has a background in health and fitness and takes pride in delivering a warm, supportive and motivating experience. This is a full-time role, working 37 to 40 hours per week on a shift basis. At Studio35, we are committed to creating a workplace where staff feel valued and supported. Following a successful probation period, there will be a clear opportunity to progress into an Assistant Manager position. Key Responsibilities Handling membership enquiries via phone, email and face to face, maintaining a high standard of customer care Conducting club tours, inductions and fitness consultations Actively coaching and supporting members during workouts, providing encouragement, technique guidance and motivation throughout their fitness journey Supervising members on the Studio35 circuit to ensure safe, effective and engaging workouts Building strong relationships to support retention and referrals Promoting memberships and services in a confident and approachable manner Making engagement calls from the club database Supporting marketing activity including social media and local promotions Planning and attending member and community events What We Are Looking For Previous experience in sales, ideally within fitness, leisure or health Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification minimum, Level 3 Personal Training desirable Confidence delivering inductions, consultations and basic group sessions Excellent communication and customer service skills A positive, approachable and reliable manner A genuine passion for helping people improve their health and confidence A proactive team player who contributes to a positive working environment Someone who enjoys working with beginners and creating a welcoming space What We Offer A supportive and respectful working environment Clear progression pathway to Assistant Manager Team days and incentives to recognise contribution The opportunity to share and implement ideas that help grow the business Ongoing development within an award winning and growing concept If you are passionate about fitness, enjoy working with people and want to be part of a team that values both its members and its staff, we would love to hear from you.
